‘Potter Rap’ Editor Sails Through To Top Eight!
WizardRock.Org congratulates Harry Potter Rap co-creator/editor, Blake Lewis, for his placement in American Idol’s Top Eight!
Blake Lewis, 25, who co-created and edited the music for The Harry Potter Rap, Moist Cupcake Entertainment’s musical spoof of the Harry Potter series, has scored a place in the hearts of fans, swiping a spot in American Idol’s Top Eight.
Tuesday, Lewis kicked off the night in style, with a sassy rendition of Bobby Darin’s “Mack the Knife”. On Wednesday’s results show, he sailed through to the next round: not quite ranking with the top three contestants, yet maintaining a comfortable distance from the bottom three.
Whether a great effort in producing a full-length album or a helping hand in creating a parodic music video, WizardRock.Org acknowledges all additions to the Internet’s collection of Harry Potter-centric music (self-proclaimed “wizard rock” or otherwise). Likewise, we acknowledge and thank Blake Lewis for his part (great or small) in expanding the world of music based on literature.
Lewis returns to American Idol on FOX Tuesday night, April 10th, at 8/7 C.
