» Early Life
Born the runt of the litter (and the only dragon in Norway–and possibly the world–to master the English language), Rocky was an outcast from Day One. Finding no acceptance among the Draconian society that is the Ridgeback clan, Rocky fled Norway, in search for a place to belong. He eventually found refuge in Romania, winning the interest and friendship of Charlie Weasley, with his unusual talent and witty charm.
One day, Charlie informed Rocky about the Tri-Wizard Tournament taking place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, as Charlie was rounding up four of the fiercest dragons he could find, and preparing to leave Romania. Knowing that Rocky would be left friendless and lonely, Charlie offered to take Rocky along for the Tournament, despite the fact that his humanlike good nature disqualified him from being a fair opponent in the First Task.
One night before the First Task at Hogwarts, Hagrid brought Harry Potter into the Forbidden Forest, to get a sneak peek at his potential opponents. Charlie, feeling a tinge of sympathy for his youngest brother’s best friend (and Boy-Who-Was-Way-Too-Young-To-Compete), kindly offered to secretly lend Rocky to Hagrid, so that Harry could practice against a real, live dragon.
Rocky and Harry quickly became friends (although Harry still was rather thrown by the fact that Rocky could talk), and Rocky, grudgingly knowing his co-workers weak spots a little too well, managed to give Harry some valuable information about each of the other dragons.
One day after the First Task, as Harry and Rocky were secretly toasting to Harry’s victory in a hiding place just outside of Hogsmeade, the two heard an odd noise, kind of like a combination of windchimes, electric guitar riffs, and a sonic boom ripping through the stratosphere. With a flash of white light, a mirror image of Harry (only slightly older) appeared from thin air.
“You look really familiar.” said Harry, not knowing what else to say.
“That’s because it’s me!” said the older figure, whipping out a strange object, which Harry instantly recognized as a Time Turner. “Er…you. From the future! I’m you from your seventh year!”
   Harry, Year 4, looked dumbfounded.
“I’ve seen things, man,” said Harry, Year 7. “Horrible things. We have loved ones who have died, people who have been corrupted by the dark side…all because of Voldemort! I’ve come back in time, to team up with you, so we can bring Voldemort down before he hurts anybody in the future.”
“But, wait…” said Harry, Year 4. “If you’re talking to me now, and telling me about the future…won’t this cause some sort of rift in the space-time continuum?”
“Well…yes.” said Harry, Year 7. “…but that’s okay! Because if we work together now, we can bring Voldemort DOWN and make the world a better place!”
“And how are we going to do that?”
“We’re going to start a band!” explained Harry, Year 7. “And conquer Voldemort with the power of love and music!”
“But where will we get our equipment?”
“The Room of Requirement!” exclaimed Harry Year 7, in triumph.
And so, Harry, Year 4, and Harry, Year 7, became Harry and the Potters. Rocky temporarily got to drum for them while they put on shows for the Hogwarts kids in the Room of Requirement, but when they started to move on to libraries and concert halls and he realized that most muggle venues wouldn’t be able to fit an almost-eight-foot dragon, he grudgingly chose a life of rocking it solo in the Forbidden Forest, for his friends, and promoting the Wizard Rock scene via the Internet.
He currently resides in a cave just outside of Hogsmeade, where he frequently puts on aerial rock shows (complete with pyrotechnic stunts which he performs himself) for his magical creature buddies, spends most of his time on the Internet, and guzzles all the butterbeer he desires.

» The Origin of Rocky’s Signature Scar
Voldemort, being the nasty son-of-a-witch that he is, tried to crumple Rocky’s original concept sketches. His mother, however, chose to sacrifice some of her expensive, fancy animation pencils in his place, creating a force field of love and cuddles and magical protection, and resulting in really awesome-looking scar, that looks pretty rad as far as character design goes.
