Sue and the Hufflepuffs

On August 2, 2006, the wizarding world was reintroduced to the persona of Sue Upton in another form than on Pottercast. On this night, Jon Omahen’s one-man band tribute to the podcast queen, Sue and the Hufflepuffs, released their first single-”Song For Sue.” Making its way across the Internet to fellow wizard rockers, “Song for Sue” made way for other such songs as “Like A Snitch,” “Expelliarmus,” and “I Remember You.”

Inspired after hearing the music of Harry and the Potters and Melissa and the Anelli’s, as well as the one-man band aspect of The Remus Lupins, Jon decided to write and dedicate his first Wizard rock song to Sue Upton, his favorite podcast being Pottercast.

In order to broaden to scope of listeners of Wizard Rock, Jon made several of his songs bilingual, mixing in both the Japanese and Afrikaan languages. Adding different languages, he has allowed Non-English speaking listeners a chance to enjoy wizard rock. As well, as Jon shows, it is always the Hufflepuff way to spread the word of wizard rock by talking of how other people enjoy it so.

They have also released their first CD, entitled “Horcri Latte.” You can buy the CD by pushing the button below:
