In the world of wizard rock, where a majority of bands perform one genre of music and are often seen live, Ginny and the Weasleys are remarkable in their trade. Formed in England by Big D and Perenelle, Ginny and the Weasleys is a virtual band made up of all 7 of the Weasley children. Inspired by Harry and the Potters and the idea of the virtual band, Gorillaz, the Gryffindor/ Ravenclaw duo write songs about events in the books from Ginny Weasley’s point of view. As well, each song is in a different musical style, covering a wide range of genres, including Country, Reggae, Gospel and Pop.
