Roonil Wazlib

In early 2006, at the rise of Wizard Rock, Molly wrote her first song in the genre, “Ode to Lav-Lav” under the pseudonym “Roonil Wazlib.” Inspired by Harry and the Potters and Draco and the Malfoys, she became hooked on writing songs about Harry Potter, and decided to write more songs. Named after Ron’s misprinted name on his textbook, Molly chose the name not only because it did not restrict her music to a specific point of view, but because it had a nice sound to it, aspiring to non-fans of the series as well.

Taking ideas from the books, the Ravenclaw’s acoustic music can be heard on her first CD release, Muggle Knitting Patterns, containing such tracks as “Mollywobbles” and “Wow, Awesome Silver Hand.”
