Severely Snaped was inspired by not only the many dark wizards and wizard rock bands, but also by one of the earliest or hard-rock and metal band, Black Sabbath. A parody of the music and artwork of the 1970s band, the songs of Severely Snaped surround the current Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, Severus Snape, discussing and speculating his life— past and future. In doing so, they touch on such subjects as how he met the Dark Lord Voldemort, why he became a Death Eater, and what his relation was with Lily Potter.
