Tickets are now available for the NYC Wizard Rock Festival! The show is on September 21st at the Public Assembly in Brooklyn—a full eight hours of some of your favorite Wizard Rock bands. They’ve also announced the final lineup of a grand total of sixteen bands!

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased through the NYC Wizard Rock Festival website. Limited tickets will be available at 12:45 PM the day of the concert, but they’ll likely sell out quickly.

On March 10, an article appeared in a local newspaper, The Canton Repository letting readers know about The Remus Lupins concert that was to take place on the next day. The article is quite amusing, as it gets most of its facts wrong. Did you know that, not only does “J.K. Rowling endorse The Remus Lupins and flies the band to concerts throughout the country.” For more hilarity the article can be found by clicking here.

The Remus Lupins (Alex Carpenter) performed for a small crowd of 25-30 people at the Jackson Township branch of the Stark County Library on March 11. Then we returned to a friend’s house to crash (after staying up past 3 in the morning of course). On the morning of March 12 as Alex and I checked the website to reread the above article, we discovered a new one. A picture of yours truly and a video of Alex’s performance accompany the article. Let me just point out that we were a little annoyed that the reporter left right before the last song, and didn’t interview either Alex, or the woman responsible for booking the show. Thursday, February 21st, Tonks! and The Hermione Crookshanks Experiance will be playing at Whimsic Alley. For those of you who don’t know Whimsic Alley is the Diagon Alley of Santa Monica. Save the date! The IHOP in Bloomfield, NJ will be hosting Wizards, Witches and Pancakes: A Wizard Rock/Filk Event on March 3rd, from 6-9 PM. Cost is $6 for adults, $5 for children five and up, and free for children under five, although there’s a dollar off admission if you come in costume. All proceeds from the event will go to the HP Alliance. Guests include Swish and Flick, Nagini, Snidget, the Expeliarmusses, The Gringotts Girls, Mary and the GrandPres, and Snape44.

Just your resident Ohioan reminding you that the deadline to buy tickets to the HP-Ohio Crystal ball is coming up fast! HP-Ohio is a non-profit fan group of adult Harry Potter fans from Ohio. This enchanted event is being held at Landoll’s Mohican Castle… Yes, there really is a castle in Ohio! It’s a formal event, the ticket price includes dinner and an evening of dancing. Tickets are on sale for a limited time only, so hurry up and purchase them before November 20th or they’re sold out. They’re $75 per person and $140 per couple. You don’t have to be a member of HP-Ohio to come, but you do need to be 18 or older, sorry wizard kids, we’d love to have you join our ranks once you’re legal of course! Dinner, with music provided by a DJ followed by dancing and hanging out with Harry Potter fans…what more could you want?!

And if that doesn’t strike your fancy, Draco and the Malfoys and The Whomping Willows will be performing, bringing the magical evening to a wrocking close. That’s right folks, this is your chance to see them up close and live and wearing dress robes (or something else equally fancy).
